Here's why...
As a coach new to the on-line industry, I have been following in the footsteps others have created in front of me. I've signed up for every training and followed every coach who seemed to have something important to say. And let me tell you, that's a lot of people! In fact, I signed myself up to so many email lists, it's all I could do to get through my inbox! Talk about FOMO! I was bombarding myself with so much information on how to start an on-line business and yet, I still struggled to get it off the ground. My website is up. I've got a lead magnet. I've got an automated welcome email sequence. I'm posting on social media and blogging. These are all good things. But, what I don't have are services for my clients. At least, not in the way I want to serve them.
I've been struggling to come up with a logical way to present the content I want to share with you. All of the business advice I've gleaned, from those mountains of emails, tell you to take your client on a journey, break it down step by step to move them forward. And, I've tried. I've busted my fanny to come up with a logical way to move clients from where they are now to embracing being a soul-driven sorceress, and nothing has felt right. Nothing! It's been driving me crazy and I'm so frigging frustrated!! I have so much I want to share with you and I've felt stuck. So, I picked out one of those coaches I'd been following in my inbox, signed up with her, and asked the question.
And boy did I get an answer!
You see, I picked this coach not only because I really like her attitude, but also, because she works with Human Design. Since I'm a Sensitive Woman, the idea of utilizing the energy I was born with to create a business is appealing. Plus, it's totally in line with leading a soul-driven life. Now, if you know anything about Human Design, you know you're born with a certain Type, Authority, and open or defined Centers. (If you don't know Human Design, head to My Body Graph and find out yours. It's free!) Lise helped me realize, based on my design, that my energy and a systematic approach aren't really compatible. So, my trying to put my ideas into a step-by-step process was like trying to shove a square peg into a round hole. It just wasn't going to work! I seriously needed to back up and rethink things.
So, I did. I decided to toss the "typical" business model out the window. And when I did, something magical happened. Suddenly, ideas came pouring in. The perfect way to present my way of becoming a soul-driven sorceress. And it's customizable! (Because let's face it, everyone is different and there is enough cookie cutter crapola around already.) You get to decide what steps are perfect for you! Isn't that freaking awesome?!!!
And while, I'm at it, I'm tossing out some other things too. I don't know about you, but I'm always irked about live trainings. It never fails. I find one I want to attend, and it's on a date or at at time when I can't. I'm already committed. They offer a replay, but it's only available for 24 or 48 hours, and I find I still can't fit it in. It's frustrating as hell! (I mean let's face it, most of us are so busy, it's hard to find 10 minutes let alone an hour out of your day for yourself. Am I right?) Or it's on a platform I didn't have access to - Facebook Lives, anyone? (Yes, I finally broke down and got a FB account, but I was kicking and screaming when I did. It was not pretty.)
Any who, I'm throwing all that out the window too. My plan is to have pre-recorded video training options that you can watch at any time. They won't poof out after a certain number of hours or days. So, you get to pick what you want and complete it when you have time. How incredible is that?!!! And I'll still have a way for you to connect with me if you have questions or need additional assistance. It's a win-win!
